In order to be considered for a franchise, you must have liquid assets of at least $150,000 and a net worth of $350,000.
No, although your equity would count towards your net worth, you cannot use a home equity loan for the liquid asset portion. This is for your protection. Most financial advisors would agree that using your home equity to start a business would not be prudent.

A single location franchise is $20,000. If you are interested in multiple units, the fee is $20,000 for each location under commitment. This pays for the support you receive in the development phase for the restaurant(s).
The royalty is 5% of sales, which pays for the extensive ongoing support you receive.
Yes, we would not be doing our jobs if we did not help you market and advertise your Barberitos restaurant. Ther is a local advertising commitment of 2% of sales. Note that some of the large sandwich and pizza concepts charge as much as 7% of sales for marketing.
The initial term is 10 years, with the option of two five-year renewals.
You must be prepared to invest at least $100,000 in the operation. The total investment can be as little as $109,800 up to $544,025 or more.
Most restaurant franchises will not give you performance information. WE DO! Our Federal Disclosure Document, which we will provide you at or before our first meeting provides profit and loss information based on our existing restaurants. However, it is impossible to forecast how much profit an individual restaurant can make. It is highly dependent on location and how well you run your restaurant. Much of the answer depends on how well you treat your customers, how clean you keep the facility, and your day-to-day execution of the concept.
This is another aspect of our program that set us apart. While most franchises today issue what are called “site only” agreements, ours gives you peace of mind. You will have a minimum of one mile protection around your location.
No computer-generated report is better than someone who has local knowledge. While we work with various commercial real estate companies to search out locations, and ultimately will approve or disapprove a site, your input will be crucial.
We can be very flexible with great locations. However, the average is 1650 to 2500 square feet. We typically try to stay away from freestanding sites because of the increased investment.
We estimate it will take between six to eight months; however, it really depends on how long it takes to secure a suitable location. We will not lower our standards on sites just to get a new Barberitos open. This is one of the most important aspects of joining a franchise.
